Families of The Greater Amsterdam School District,

Here is an update on before and/or after school childcare programs that many of you have been inquiring about. GASD is now partnering with the HealthyKids Extended Day Program to provide such care. www.healthykidsprograms.com

The focus of HealthyKids is to provide a positive, engaging and stimulating experience that promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. The program will be available beginning this fall at McNulty Academy and Barkley Elementary School with the hopes of expanding it to Marie Curie Institute and Tecler Elementary School during the school year. We will send out notification on ParentSquare about these other schools as soon as we have official approval from the Office of Child and Family Services.

The HealthyKids morning program would offer an early drop-off at 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM and the after school program would offer a 6:00 PM pickup time.

Cost of the HealthyKids program

There is a cost associated with the HealthyKIds program but many families will be eligible for aid/assistance through DSS. For more information on fees please access the link below:
