Barkley Elementary School held a salute to veterans this afternoon (Nov. 10) with students and staff honoring their loved ones and all who have served or are serving America in the U.S. Armed Forces. The event included educational passages about the military, patriotic songs by the grade 3-4 chorus, introduction of veterans in attendance by their families and displaying of the colors by members of the Amsterdam High School MCJROTC unit. Veterans Day will be celebrated in America on Friday.
