As the summer break comes to a close, I am thrilled to welcome back our students, parents, and educators for another exciting and enriching school year. We’re excited to build on the successes of the past and embark on a journey of new opportunities, growth, and academic excellence.

Reflecting on the successes of the past year, the district extends its heartfelt gratitude to the entire community for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm for the LEGO Robotics Enrichment Program that took place this summer. The program has left an indelible mark on both students and educators, instilling a passion for innovation and hands-on learning. We remain committed to nurturing this passion and continuing the program’s legacy.

We are proud to introduce a state-of-the-art Distance Learning Lab, offering four dynamic courses that leverage technology to provide students with interactive and engaging learning experiences.

The district takes immense pride in unveiling new adaptive playgrounds for its elementary schools. These play spaces have been designed to nurture creativity, physical activity, and social interaction among our young learners, enriching their school experience beyond the classroom.

As part of a concerted effort to prioritize student well-being, the district is pleased to announce the installation of new rooftop units to enhance indoor air quality. This initiative underscores the district’s dedication to creating a safe and conducive learning environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

The return of CDTA buses to serve students reflects our commitment to accessibility and convenience, ensuring that students have reliable transportation options to and from school.

We encourage parents and guardians to stay engaged with their student’s education by attending school events, communicating with teachers, and taking an active role in the school community. Together, we can create a strong partnership that will enable every student to reach their full potential.

We extend our warmest welcome to our new students and their families, and we look forward to reuniting with our returning students. The 2023-24 school year is a fresh chapter filled with possibilities, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey together.

Thank you for being a part of the Amsterdam family. Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!

Sincerely,
Rich Ruberti
