Track Student Breaks Record

Amsterdam High School student-athlete Loni Pepper has set a new school record in the pole vault. After tying the previous record of 10 feet last week, Pepper surpassed it with a 10’6” vault during a meet on Sunday, officially securing his place in the school’s record books.

Track and field coach Stuart Palczak commended Pepper’s progress and work ethic. “Although Loni is fairly inexperienced at pole vaulting, he makes up for it through hard work and enthusiasm. He is very coachable, and the coaching staff anticipates that he will continue to improve during both indoor and outdoor track,” Palczak said.

The district congratulates Loni Pepper on this accomplishment and looks forward to his continued success.
