We’re excited to announce the Marie Curie’s 9th Annual Winter Craft Show & Farmer’s Market, happening on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9 Brice Street, Amsterdam, NY. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a day of local shopping and community fun!
Crafters & Vendors: Explore a variety of talented crafters and independent consultants offering unique holiday gifts.
Farmers Market: Stock up on delicious local products, including grassfed beef and pork, micro-greens, raw honey, maple syrup, sourdough starters, cookies, jams, and more!
Holiday Photos: Capture the season with a professional holiday photo by Arieonna Abeling Photography for just $20 per photo. Photos will be professionally edited and delivered via email within 72 hours. (Santa photos available!)

Due to an incident involving a tractor-trailer that hit a pole, the power at Marie Curie Elementary is currently out. As a result we have decided on an early dismissal at 11:45 a.m. Rest assured, your child will be provided with a lunch to take home. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this unexpected situation.

Please see the attached flyer below. Do not miss your chance to grab dinner with Santa. Marie Curie Institute is hosting a spaghetti dinner. Taking place on Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 5-6:30 p.m., take out only. Families can enter through the cafeteria entrance. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for children. Your ticket includes a spaghetti and meatball dinner paired with salad, bread, and dessert. Pre-sale tickets only.

The Greater Amsterdam School District has announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The induction ceremony and dinner will take place on Friday, September 15 at the Perthshire on Route 30 in north Amsterdam. There will be a reception hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony. For more information email halloffame@gasd.org or call or text Rich Allen at (518) 878-6374.

Tonight's Tecler Skate Night fundraiser at High Rollers is cancelled due to the projected forecast of inclement weather.
NYS Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara and Montgomery County Legislative Chairman Robert Purtell presented certificates of appreciation this month recognizing the Amsterdam volunteers and GASD staff who dedicated themselves to making the 2022 Adopt-a-Family holiday meal program a tremendous success.
