Mrs. Torres’ and Mrs. Twardy’s PRE-K classes took a tour to Amsterdam City Hall. The visit was accompanied by the honor of a personal welcome from Mayor Mike Cinquanti.
An experience engaged in observation, and views of our city from the second and third-story windows. The tour extended beyond the visual appeal, diving into an exploration of the city's history, functions of City Hall, and a detailed account of the historic property that was once the residence of the Sanford family.
Each participating child was presented with a city flag and an official certificate making them a junior code officials for the day. The warm welcome extended by Amsterdam City Hall played a role in creating a great learning experience.
The classes extend their gratitude to Amsterdam City Hall. This experience broadened the views of the young learners and also gave a lasting appreciation for the cultural and architectural heritage of our city.
